The essays on this site were written by the Advanced Writing class at Maranatha Baptist Bible College during the 2010 fall semester. Each of the students wrote essays on topics that William Zinsser discusses in his book On Writing Well, which was one of our two textbooks, along with William Strunk & E. B. White's The Elements of Style. These essays included art reviews, sportswriting, memoirs, profiles, science and technology writing, and essays on particular places. At the end of the semester, each student took his or her best essay of the semester and polished it. The following essays are the result of their hard work.
